Arena Products and Services is a highly specialized company that works solely in the Sport and Recreational Ice industry. We specifically work with ice rink refrigeration and equipment operation exclusively. Our background is in application, construction, installation, and service of artificial ice refrigeration plants and rink floors. We service approximately 75% of all the ice rinks in Colorado and have been in business since 1994.

APS Mechanical is a division of Arena Products and Services that specializes in commercial HVAC/R. We work on all commercial HVAC/R systems found in commercial buildings to processing plants to breweries. Our background is in application, installation, retrofits and services in commercial HVAC/R. APS Mechanical division has been in operation since 2019.

We feel that the key to retaining those relationships is to have an exceptional work ethic, concentrating on professionalism and a high expectation on the quality of the work we do. We like to engage our customers within the service we are providing to explain, teach and train so that the client understands and is comfortable with the level and type of service we are providing. Educating and training our clients is an important factor in our services.

Our focus is to provide energy efficient, durable, and serviceable systems that will produce the best quality ice available to our clients’ customers. APS has been involved with many municipal and private clients in their process of developing their ice rink projects. The company’s focus is mechanical maintenance, repair, replacement and construction, whether new or retrofitting equipment into an existing facility.

To ensure high quality workmanship, our staff consists of only experienced ice rink specialists that have worked in the ice rink industry for many years.

APS Experience has over 65 years of experience in the recreational ice-skating industry and specifically only works on ice rink equipment. Knowledge and experience include leisure rinks, community rinks (single sheet, twin sheet and triple sheet facilities), large arenas, ice resurfacers (Zamboni and Olympia), ice painting, ice maintenance, energy management, industrial refrigeration (Freon and Ammonia based), installations, retrofits (condensers, heat exchangers, compressors, motors, pumps, floors etc.), equipment service/preventive maintenance, dehumidification, chemical analysis (Brine and Glycols), Low “E” ceilings, hockey boards, refrigerated ice slabs (Sand and Concrete) year round and seasonal rinks, startups and shutdowns. APS is very proactive when it comes to advising their clients on the value of preventive maintenance and does a considerable amount of service work on ice rink refrigeration plants.

Advisory and Consulting is part of the services we offer. We provide advisory and consulting services to engineers, architects and owners (municipalities and private) in new ice rink construction and remodeling projects to maximize the efficiency of the ice rink design and refrigeration packages. We also provide consulting that addresses increasing cash flow, reducing costs, building project budgets and construction schedules. Each project receives individual design consideration to best suit its specific purpose and the Client’s needs.

Our project involvement has ranged from small two sheet curling rinks, commercial multi rink facilities, large multipurpose arenas, to the Winter Olympic Games. After-sales service is important, and at present APS services and assists many rinks throughout the Western US.

We are very involved with the U.S. Market primarily, being involved with rink projects in Missouri, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Montana, New Mexico and Nevada.  

We, Arena Products and Services, specialize in ice rink refrigeration, maintenance, repairs, testing, constructing, fabricating and installing. This type of work is what we do on a daily basis nationwide.

Arena Products and Services provides warranty on all labor for one year and manufacturers original warranty on all equipment and parts.

Arena Products and Services provides 24/7 emergency service: via phone, remote access to the PLC if applicable and on site if necessary and can work directly with your local service provider for equipment that is not covered by our warranty.

Technical training is included in the original contract. We typically have a couple of days at the end of the project to go over computer training, preventative maintenance and daily/monthly/annual maintenance requirements including log sheets. We will explain the sequence of operation, controls and equipment identification.
